This year, we held our 1st BOSS Awards. This event awarded $5,000 to two businesses owned and operated by women. A team of judges reviewed all applications and six semi-finalists were selected to pitch their businesses for an opportunity to win! The semi-finalists received pitching and business instructions through workshops from carefully selected, successful industry professionals. Our final two winners were selected at our BOSS Award Event, where our prepared semi-finalists will pitched their business ideas before judges, friends, and family. We are pleased to announce our two 2022 BOSS Award winners:
Dr. Jan Newby won $5,000 in the For Profit Small Business category.
Patricia Hamer of Marriage Rocks won the $5,000 prize in the Nonprofit Small Business category.
